SpongeBob – A Pirate Adventure, directed by Derek Drymon, takes SpongeBob (voiced by Tom Kenny) and his inseparable friends from Bikini Bottom on a brand-new, epic journey.
Determined to prove to everyone — and especially to Mr. Krabs (voiced by Clancy Brown) — that he has the heart of a true hero, SpongeBob sets out to track down the Flying Dutchman (voiced by Mark Hamill), the legendary ghost pirate who for generations has fueled myths and fears among the creatures of the deep. Driven by his unstoppable enthusiasm, SpongeBob embarks on a voyage that will lead him through sea monsters, pirate ships, and hilarious situations, all the way into the darkest and most unexplored regions of the ocean — places no sponge has ever dared to go.
Along the way, he is joined by Patrick (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke), Sandy (voiced by Carolyn Lawrence), and all their longtime friends, ready to support him with their irresistible unpredictability. Amid twists, dangers, and a sea of laughter, the adventure will put our hero’s courage to the test, pushing him to discover just how difficult it is to be a true pirate when you are an optimistic and slightly clumsy sponge.
