The Association PIDA – International Ischia Architecture Award, together with SiebenArchi – Architects, Urban Planners, Designers, has organized the conference “May of Architecture_annodiciannove” at the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Ischia—an event that this year takes on a particularly meaningful significance: paying tribute to the memory of the unforgettable Antonello Monaco, architect, intellectual, and a key figure in the cultural landscape of Ischia.
Antonello Monaco left a profound mark on the architectural culture of the island and beyond. The conference represents an opportunity to gather testimonies, reflections, and memories from those who knew and respected him, offering the community a portrait of a man capable of combining professional rigor, aesthetic sensitivity, and civic passion.

May of Architecture and the 13th Edition of PIDA
The conference will also provide an opportunity to officially present the program for May of Architecture 2026, a series that will enliven the cultural life of the island and the Campania region in the coming months with conferences, workshops, and initiatives dedicated to the quality of the built environment and urban space.
In this context, the 13th edition of the International Ischia Architecture Award (PIDA), scheduled from October 1 to 3, 2026, will be officially announced.
Further details on the theme and program of the 12th edition of PIDA will be released in the coming weeks.
