On Friday, June 12, 2026, at 9:30 PM, as part of the celebrations in honor of Saint Vito Martyr and the 30th Anniversary of the Coronation of Our Lady of the Libera, the Fantasynapoli APS Association presents “To You, Compassionate Virgin”, a captivating historical and artistic costume-theatre experience.

The event will unfold through 22 scenes performed by more than 80 actors, extras, and dancers along a route that begins at Piazza San Gaetano and leads to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Libera, passing through Via dell’Olmo and the heart of Forio’s historic center.

It will be an emotional journey through faith, tradition, and collective memory, bringing to life authentic stories, testimonies, and episodes from Forio’s past. The performance is the result of extensive historical research inspired by the writings of historian Giuseppe d’Ascia in his work “History of the Island of Ischia”.

Stories of men and women, of resentment but above all forgiveness, of devotion and hope, preserved in the heart of the community and passed down through generations, will move, inspire, and help rediscover the profound bond between the people of Forio and their beloved Madonna della Libera.
