DESCRIPTION:For the first time\, the island of Ischia is hosting an exhibit
ion dedicated to the world of LEGO bricks\, the most beloved of all by chi
ldren\, young people\, and adults. An exhibition designed to inspire\, ent
ertain\, and reveal entire miniature worlds\, whether real or imaginary. O
n Friday\, December 12 at 5 p.m.\, inside the Villa Gingerò spaces within
the Villa Arbusto museum complex\, “Bricks in Lacco Ameno” will be inaugur
ated\, an exhibition organized by the Municipality of Lacco Ameno and cura
ted by Maurizio Lampis\, brick builder and founder of the Karalisbrick Bri
ck Museum in Sardinia.\nAn unmissable opportunity for all enthusiasts of t
he famous bricks\, who will spend a few hours in a magical and playful atm
osphere featuring works made with those colorful and extraordinary blocks
 that combine ingenuity\, creativity\, art\, architecture\, and a passion f
or play.\nDuring this immersive and engaging journey\, visitors will be ab
le to admire a wide range of diorama creations\, reproduced in reduced sca
le: from a medieval castle to the world of pirates\, from monuments and te
mples of Ancient Egypt to the Nativity scene\, from a large artwork dedica
ted to an immortal football icon like Diego Armando Maradona to settings a
nd characters inspired by the film Finding Nemo\, one of the most beloved
3D animated movies.\nA colorful dream come true for children and adults al
ike\, right in time for the Christmas holidays\, where surprises will not
be lacking. “There will also be seven canvases\, displayed as paintings bu
t not made of bricks\, depicting characters or famous artworks\, from Dant
e Alighieri to Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring\,” says curator Lampis.
  “Brick-built works\,” he continues\, “are a manual game of logic\, precis
ion\, and preparation. Each project is built without instructions\, concei
ved and created entirely by me. Once a construction scale is chosen\, I be
gin building through a mathematical and geometric process that requires sk
ill and creativity. The goal\, in any case\, is always to amaze the public
\, showing that LEGO bricks are a universal language capable of uniting di
fferent generations\, stimulating imagination\, and transforming passion i
nto tangible art.”\nMaurizio Lampis was born in Cagliari in 1976. His pass
ion for bricks began at age 6\, when he received a Medieval Castle as a Ch
ristmas gift.He has been a professional Brick Builder since 2015 with the
founding of the Karalisbrick Cultural Association\, which includes four ad
ditional members. In 2021\, he created the KARALISBRICK Brick Museum\, per
manently located in Capoterra (CA). Among his most notable works are St. M
ark’s Square in Venice\, the Trevi Fountain\, and Piazza del Plebiscito— a
ll built without using any software. Other important works include a life-
sized 1:1 English telephone booth.\n“I am thrilled to bring this exhibitio
n to Lacco Ameno\,” says Deputy Mayor and Cultural Affairs Councillor Carl
a Tufano. “An original exhibition that\, I’m sure\, will captivate not onl
y children but also adults. LEGO bricks represent our childhood—a formidab
le tool of expression\, imagination\, and ingenuity. Some creations are tr
ue masterpieces that honor the limitless creativity of the brick builder\,
showing that\, brick by brick\, anything can be built. What we will offer
visitors of Villa Arbusto in the coming month\,” adds Tufano\, “is a fasc
inating journey through architecture\, real or imagined places\, impressio
ns\, and paths of knowledge that the public can experience in a cultural l
andmark of our territory\, also thanks to its dialogue with the natural\,
archaeological\, and historical heritage preserved within the Villa Arbust
o museum complex.”\n“Bricks in Lacco Ameno” is an exhibition organized by
the Municipality of Lacco Ameno in collaboration with the Karalisbrick Mus
