Saint Anthony Abbot, the patron saint of animals, is celebrated with a blessing that brings together the community of Piellero, linking the festival to the “ciucciai” (grape transporters) who once used animals for their work.
The celebration often includes wine and a sandwich, strengthening the sense of local belonging.
