In Philosofy festival: Round Table

The discussion takes its cue from the volume “A Citizen of All Places, a Contemporary of All Ages: The Universality of Gaetano Filangieri’s Thought” (Editoriale Scientifica, 2024), which includes in its appendix the celebrated correspondence between the Campanian philosopher and Benjamin Franklin during the drafting of the U.S. Constitution.

An open conversation on the meaning of freedom in a time of wars, migration and new forms of exclusion. Donatella Di Cesare invites us to think of responsibility as a critical practice, exploring the relationship between the individual, the community and power without shying away from the complexity of the present.
