The Royal Palace of Ischia is not generally open to the public: it is owned by the State Property Agency / Ministry of Defence and is used as a military thermal facility and military headquarters. For this reason, regular access is limited and not continuous. During the FAI Days, the opening of this historic place becomes an extraordinary event: guided tours are offered through spaces that are normally closed, allowing visitors to discover the internal structure, the noble rooms, the furnishings, and the historic garden—elements that are otherwise accessible only on rare occasions.

Visiting the Royal Palace on these days means entering a place that bears witness to the Bourbon presence on the island, understanding the evolution of its use from a royal residence to a military facility, and appreciating views, stories, and details that are often invisible to the public. The exceptional nature of the event lies in opening doors that have been closed for years, revealing unique historical, cultural, and landscape values.

Note: Guided tours every 15–20 minutes, with groups of up to 30 people at a time. Tours will pause at 1:30 PM and resume at 3:00 PM. Last entry at 5:30 PM.
