PLOT

The Mummy, the film directed by Lee Cronin, tells the story of a couple of parents (Jack Reynor and Laia Costa). Their lives change tragically after the mysterious disappearance of their young daughter, Katie (Natalie Grace), who one day vanishes in the desert without leaving any trace.
Years pass, but the pain and sense of loss continue to deeply mark the family, unable to find any explanation. Eight years later, when all hope seems to have faded, the unthinkable happens. They receive a phone call informing them that the girl has been found.
Her return, at first experienced as a miracle, rekindles conflicting emotions. But what should be a joyful reunion soon turns into something dark and deeply disturbing.
Katie, in fact, appears very different. Beyond her unsettling appearance, her behavior and her gaze conceal something inexplicable and terrifying. Her body, in fact, was found inside an ancient sarcophagus, wrapped in bandages like a mummy. Katie seems to belong to the world of the dead.
Torn between love and fear, the parents begin to suspect that the daughter who has returned home may no longer be the same as she once was, thus beginning a waking nightmare that will put all their certainties to the test.
