An evening dedicated to one of the most celebrated masterpieces in the history of Italian cinema.
Journalist and Rai Quirinale Director Andrea Covotta and film critic Gianmaria Tammaro will guide the audience through the making of The Leopard, exploring its origins through archival images, behind-the-scenes stories, and fascinating insights into the film's production.
Why You Shouldn't Miss It
The Leopard is far more than a masterpiece of Italian cinema—it is the story of a changing Sicily, told by a director who found his own creative sanctuary on the island of Ischia.
Hearing the story behind the film from two leading voices in journalism and film criticism—one of them a prominent Rai broadcaster—offers a rare opportunity to discover little-known anecdotes and fresh perspectives on Visconti's work, in the very place where he conceived many of his cinematic visions.
The screening is generously offered by Titanus, a valued supporter of Villa La Colombaia's cultural programme celebrating the 120th anniversary of Luchino Visconti's birth.
